From 15 October 2018 it is possible to obtain subsidies from the New Green Savings Programme for energy-saving self-help house renovations, outdoor shading technology, building a house in a low-energy standard or replacing old stoves without the need for insulation.
The programme also provides subsidies for insulation and replacement of windows or doors for owners who want to renovate their house on their own, but under professional technical supervision.
The programme has now started to include support for the installation of outdoor shading equipment such as outdoor blinds, roller shutters and sunblinds. These techniques help reduce heating costs in winter and improve indoor climate in summer.
Grants for insulation, replacement windows and doors can cover up to 50% of eligible costs. Support for shading technology varies according to the type of control, with manually operated elements receiving less support than those with automation.
The programme also offers combination bonuses for a combination of measures for detached houses (£10,000 for each combination) and apartment blocks (£20,000 for each combination). These bonuses also apply to shading technology.
The programme also provides support for intelligent motor control of shading technology based on the evaluation of various factors, which simplifies the application for subsidies.
Contractor Registration: The New Green Savings Program website provides a list of specialists who can assist with projects subsidized by the program. Registration of contractors is voluntary.
