UNDER PLASTER BIRDHOUSES

Swift (Apus apus) is a legally protected animal. It is beneficial in cities by hunting flying insects. The interesting thing is that it is maximally adapted to life in the air, it can even sleep in flight. If it lands on the ground, it cannot rise. They nest in the cavities of buildings and towers and in the ventilation openings of apartment buildings. By warming buildings, we are destroying their nesting grounds and the environment where they live. That is why hidden nesting boxes for puffins are placed on the south side in the insulation systems of buildings taller than 6 m.

Based on practical experience, we have prepared a system solution for swift nesting, which not only suits them, but also all building regulations and standards.

Benefits of our socket boxes

  1. It's a modular system - we can create any configuration from individual nesting chambers (modules).
  2. Using 30 mm thick PIR insulation (0.026 W/(m-K)) eliminates heat loss and compensates for contact insulation.
  3. Purenite body adds strength to the box, making it easy to anchor and handle. Purenite does not accept moisture, does not react to construction chemicals and is thermally stable. It has excellent insulation properties. It is an ideal material for under-mounted applications.
  4. The front side of the box consists of 20 mm XPS for easy incorporation into contact insulation and better facade adhesion.
