Purenite boxes are a modern construction element that provides an ideal technical solution for shading technology. What types of socket boxes are there and where do they find use everywhere?

What is a purenite socket box?

A Purenite socket box consists of two basic materials - Purenite structural board and PIR PUREN MV insulation board. Purenite boxes are strong, self-supporting and easy to install. It creates space for shading technology, while also solving the insulation of lintels and connection joints and neatness of construction details.

Purenite boxes are available in three basic variants, which differ in both design features and use. Each type has its own specific characteristics and purpose:

PB - U-shaped Purenite box:

This box is made up of purenite and is mainly used where the insulation of the lintel has already been resolved. When combined with shading technology, it creates a space for exterior louvres made of a material that works with it. PB boxes are ideal for projects where the emphasis is on space retention and maximising the use of exterior screening.

PBI - Purenite box with insulation:

This box is fitted with PIR insulation which can range from 30 to 60mm wide. PBI boxes are the most commonly used and effective version of purenite boxes. Thanks to the integrated insulation, they offer excellent thermal insulation and reduce thermal bridging, which is important for energy-efficient and passive houses.

PBL - L-shaped Purenite box:

This box is made up of purenite and has a similar specification to the PB box. The main difference is that the PBL box takes up even less space in the building opening and is suitable for projects where space needs to be saved without reducing the effectiveness of the screening.

Each of these types of purenite boxes can be custom made to suit the requirements and needs of the building. This includes corner assemblies, assemblies for strip windows, boxes for canted windows, arches etc. Purenite boxes thus become a flexible solution for different situations and ensure high quality and efficiency.
