Whether you're planning to replace windows and doors during a renovation or you're building a new house, you probably don't want to burn more than necessary. In order to avoid unnecessary heat loss, you need to carefully break any thermal bridges created. You can do this task with purenite.
WHAT IS PURENITE?
Purenite is a hard polyurethane foam product made from self-produced polyurethane recyclate and polyisocyanurate. It has unique material properties that have proven to be excellent in specifically breaking and reducing thermal bridges. These occur particularly where two building structures meet and wherever there is a lower layer of thermal insulation.
What makes purenite stand out compared to other materials? First of all, it can handle really high loads, up to 6 tonnes. It is therefore suitable for under heavy HS portals, balcony or entrance doors. In addition, it is user-friendly: it is easy to machine, so you can drill or mill into it without fear of damaging it. Moreover, no special adhesive is needed for its application, you can get by with the commonly available ones.
Purenite does not swell when soaked, does not change its structure, great insulation, does not rot, is resistant to termites, but also to solvents, acids and other chemicals. Purenite panels are prepared in the specific dimensions required, but can easily be customized on site if needed. It is a very lightweight material, so handling is easy.
WHERE PURENIT IS USED
Because of its properties, purenite is most commonly used under entrance doors or heavy HS portals. Its installation is simple: the board in the desired size is placed under the window or door with the help of glue, the prepared grooves fit into the bottom profile of the window or door... and it's done. You can lay other layers over the purenite, such as waterproofing or a vapour barrier.
This eco-friendly material meets everything you expect from insulation: from durability to ease of handling to simplicity of installation.
