The undeniable advantage of purenite boxes is their easy and quick installation. The boxes are made of purenite - a polyurethane-based rigid foam product (PIR) that has excellent thermal insulation properties. Purenite boxes are also long-lasting, moisture-proof and both lightweight and very strong and durable. Exterior louvres are therefore suitable to be installed directly into these special boxes, which are very popular, for example, in passive houses. Today we look at how a purenite box can be installed quickly and easily.
STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION OF PURENITE BOXES
Firstly, it is important to understand what a purenite box consists of - the front of the box, the ceiling and the sides are made up of the purenite structural board. This makes it possible to anchor brackets or louvre holders freely into it. The second very important part of the box is the insulation layer, which forms the back wall of the box adjacent to the lintel, the connecting joint and the window frame. With purenite boxes, you have solved the problem of additional insulators or the creation of thermal bridges.
Purenite boxes are usually installed above the window in the space of the contact insulation system. First of all, the boxes need to be properly anchored. The Purenite box is anchored with washers and screws into the wreath. A profile is fitted into the top of the frame and the box is seated into it. A 6.5 mm deep hole is then drilled and a galvanised anchor is attached to the top with screws and fixed to the washer.
Also keep in mind the cables during installation - their length must reach at least half the width of the purenite box, so that the blinds can be connected to them later. A hole must also be drilled for them on the side of the sidewall, through which they will be pulled into the box.
So let's recap the whole installation to illustrate how quick and easy it all is - first, the backing strip is fitted to the window frame, with care also being taken to ensure the aesthetic side of the installation. The purenite box is then fitted into the moulding and secured with mounting brackets. This completes the installation of the purenite box and allows the next step to proceed.
Many people decide whether to install purenite boxes on their own - this is possible, however, it is always preferable to use a professional company, which you can be sure will measure and fix everything correctly and will not leave anything out. This will avoid possible subsequent inconveniences, when mistakes are difficult to correct.
